This process is especially preferred in the production of ovens and stoves used in homes. The parts coated in this way show superior resistance against corrosion, chemicals, heat, scratching and discoloration.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the enamel coating process, the workpiece is heated up to 780 \u00b0C -850 \u00b0C. This high temperature causes some problems in the use of standard cold rolled sheets for this purpose. If steel grades suitable for the enamel coating process are not used, a coating defect, also called \u201cfish scale\u201d, occurs as a result of decarburization and hydrogen release. Parts with this defect after coating cannot be used, and as a result, the labor done with the material used will be wasted.\nIn order to avoid the above-mentioned problem, steel grades with additional metallurgical properties are mandatory for enamel coating process.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 2 groups of steel for enameling process which are named with EK and ED notation. Grades with EK suffix such as DC01EK are used for standard dark enamel coating processes. In order to make colored enameling over EK grades black\/gray colored enamel coating is applied first and then colored enamel is applied, so the same workpiece is processed twice.
