Aluminum Silicon alloy coated steel (+AS)

Today, there are various alternative coated product types developed for situations where conventional galvanized sheets are insufficient in terms of corrosion resistance. One of them is the steels whose surface is coated with aluminum silicon alloy and defined with +AS notation.

This coated steel type is superior to standard galvanized steels in 3 respects. These are resistance to chemicals, resistance to heat and heat reflection ability. When weldability and paintability are added to these properties, steels coated with aluminum silicon alloy become a suitable raw material for sectors such as automotive, heating appliances, home appliances and HVAC.

Heat shields and exhaust silencers used in vehicles, furnace components, heat exchangers, heating devices are some of the suitable areas of use.
