Hot Rolled Steel (HR)

Sıcak haddelenmiş rulolar, döküm slablarının yeniden kristalleşme sıcaklığının üzerinde sıcak haddeleme işlemine tabii tutulması ile üretilen yassı çelik ürünleridir. Slablar, hat başında bulunan fırınlar yardımı ile daha kolay  şekillendirildikleri 900°C üzerindeki sıcaklıklara kadar ısıtılırlar. Sonrasında slablar siparişe uygun kalınlık ve genişlik elde edilinceye kadar sıcak haddeleme prosesine maruz kalırlar ve hat sonunda nihai fiziki ve mekanik özelliklerine ulaşırlar. Bu süreçte malzemenin sıcak olması sebebiyle üzerinde mavimsi bir demir oksit tabakası oluşur bu tabaka hadde tufali olarak isimlendirilir ve boya, kaynak gibi işlemlerden önce temizlenmesi önerilir.

Hot rolled steel coils, have wider tolerances as their manufacturing process takes place quickly in elevated temperatures. Even though modern steel mills have sophisticated measurement and correction systems, it is a challenge to achieve tight tolerances due to thermal expansion and cooling shrinkage of the material.

Hot rolling of slabs and producing hot rolled coils is the initial step for manufacturing other steel types such as pickled and oiled coils, cold rolled coils, coated coils and painted coils. So, in addition to be supplied and directly used, hot rolled coils are traded as raw materials for rerolling facilities that manufacture further processed steel types.

Hot rolled coils are one of the most affordable steel raw materials due to minimal processing. They are widely used in the production of structural components, agricultural equipment, automotive frames, hollow sections, pipes etc.
